Seta Bourette

Seta Bourette by Filati Stock, 100% Silk, 450 meter/100 gram. Seta Bourette is a 100% bourette silk yarn with a soft matte appearance and a lightly textured natural feel. Unlike shiny filament silk, bourette silk is made from the shorter fibers left after traditional silk reeling; these fibers are carded and spun into yarn, creating the characteristic subtle slubs and dry, elegant texture. Bourette silk combines the unique properties of silk with a relaxed, comfortable character: it is breathable, thermoregulating, moisture-absorbing, and pleasant directly against the skin. The spun structure gives the yarn more grip and stability than classic silk, making it especially suitable for knitting and machine knitting. Finished fabrics have beautiful drape while still keeping enough structure for textured stitches, lace, and lightweight garments, and with washing and wear Seta Bourette becomes even softer while maintaining its refined matte look. Recommended needle size: 2.5–3 mm.
